This extremely rare early 1942 model appears to be a 1937 model at first glance, but features the "Copyright 1942" inscription at the bottom of the flasher.
Produced only for a short period from April to August 1942, it still retains the back strap and crotch rivets. While the 1937 model used the heads of regular copper rivets to conceal the rivets, this model employs special iron rivets. Along with this change, the flasher's "CONCEALED COPPER RIVETS" was changed to "CONCEALED POCKET RIVETS".
It features denim fabric with a thickness and unevenness clearly different from the 1937 model, and a specially made iron buckle with black plating, which is only seen on this model. The tacks on the back of the buttons are copper-plated.
